Activity description:

  • Move baby’s hands while reciting a nursery rhyme:

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker’s man

Bake me a cake as fast as you can

Roll it and pat it and mark it with “B”

And bake it in the oven for baby and me!

  • Physical skills: arm movement; clapping; patterns; rhythm
  • Non-physical skills: vocabulary development

Adjust the challenge:

  • Have your child move their hands themselves.
